Seniors visit Grounds for Sculpture and Chelsea Galleries

Every Year our students at Dwight-Englewood get to experience some of the amazing artistic offerings so close at hand.  This spring seniors were able to tour the Chelsea art galleries, walk amidst the peacocks at the Grounds for Sculpture and spent the day at the Museum of Modern Art,...here are just a few of the pics from those memorable days...
Lining up at the Grounds for Sculpture, Seniors 2013 enjoy this Munch homage and a Segal classic.

Chelsea galleries offer many surprises...

Enjoying a Howard Kalish at Grounds for Sculpure, D-E has 2 on view as well...

Grounds for Sculpture has several Impressionist works that come alive in 3 dimensions...

Contemplating contemporary art in Chelsea is a yearly ritual for Seniors at Dwight....

Many seniors also enjoyed a trip to the MOMA this spring as well...

Students immediately recognized this Richard Heinrich from its similarity to Zoot Suit which welcomes visitors to Swartley...on our own campus...

Found 2 of the 3 Amigo, (our very own spoken word poets) admiring this work in Chelsea...We do hope you enjoyed sharing some these moments with us, good luck to the Class of 2013 and stay tuned as we catch you all up on our artistic goings on from the action-packed closing days of school...
